Job Summary

We are seeking a professional to research new areas and execute new investments. The professional will be an integral part of small teams and play an instrumental role in financial modelling and conducting business due diligence.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Conduct market research, monitor key market trends, attend conferences to target and identify new business prospects and opportunities in core and non-core business sectors

• Develop business cases and presentations for new potential opportunities, leading analysis of important strategic choices, threats and opportunities, and working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive insights and collaboration across the organization

• Conduct due diligence reviews of potential areas and conduct due diligence discussions.

• Originate and maintain potential partners and investment targets for future collaboration

• Set up meetings with the potential partners and investment targets to discuss and negotiate partnerships or investments

• Assist in evaluating target investments opportunities that meet the company's strategy

• Once the negotiation for partnership or investment moves further, drive due diligence, especially from a financial modeling perspective, together with GM and other team members

• Drive internal approval process (Investment Committee, etc.), including creation of financial models or presentation materials

• Provides support to facilitate business operations including participating in budget preparation, monthly update reports, etc.

• Complete projects as assigned

Job Specific Knowledge/Skills & Abilities:

Required

• Strong accounting/financial modeling and analytical skills supported by a high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint

• Analytical and problem solving skills

• Ability to learn quickly and demonstrated ability to work independently

• High attention to detail, accuracy, thoroughness and timeliness in work

Education, Certification and Experience:

Required

• 6+ years experience providing opportunity to exercise analytical skills

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university in business, finance, accounting or related area or equivalent experience
