Infrastructure Machinery Trade Business Manager

115k-140k with 10% bonus target

 

Job Summary

The Manager of Infrastructure Department will be responsible for handling machinery trade business such as suppling any kinds of equipment and technology to our client. The position also focuses on business development including increase customers and revenues. The role requires collaboration with a lot of machine builders and manufactures appropriately.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

(a) Client Management

  1. Act as the primary connection between SCOA and clients.

  2. Maintain strong relationships with clients by providing high level of customer service.

  3. Review contents of price estimation and approve.

  4. Conduct negotiation between customer and supplier.

  5. Source new suppliers to meet customer requirements.

  6. Work closely with Sumitomo Shoji Machinex members.

(b)Business Development

  1. Visit exhibition to grow the network and stay current in the market.
  2. Find new business opportunity where SCOA can provide solutions and/or technologies.
  3. Analyze and strategize Sumitomo network.
  4. Develop new business solution with suppliers.

(c) Customer acquisition

  1. Bring automotive business, using the power of different teams, channels, and strategies. (Eventually not only automotive industry)

  2. Sales and marketing based on corporation with Sumitomo Shoji Machinex.

(d)New Business creation

  1. Create new business at maintenance field under supervision within several unit and work closely with Sumitomo group.

 

Job Specific Knowledge/Skills & Abilities

Required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in both English and Japanese.

  • Understanding Japanese business culture.

  • Machinery and equipment knowledge, Import and export handling knowledge

Preferred

  • Experience in automotive industry business.

  • Experience in maintenance field or/and SCM.

 

Education, Certification and Experience:

  • 5+ years (preferably 7-10 years) of working experience in or with machinery or/and equipment trade as sales, machine builder experience, forwarding experience (at least 3 of those).
  • Bachelor’s degree or above.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Business trips:

    • International travel 1 time per year
    • Domestic travel 3-4 times per month
  • Office regulation:

    • Hybrid style: 2 days minimum on-site (Every Monday would be onsite collaboration day)
