Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager will thrive to implement new business including seeking new
investment opportunities in Automotive Production Engineering segment. The Business Development
Manager leads to conquer challenges that current Automotive Manufacturing has such as Automation,
Sustainability, Carbon neutrality, and lead transformation of the industry by integrating traditional
technologies and the latest technologies. The position requires strong motivation and desire to tackle
those challenges, advanced technical capabilities, experiences and flexible mindset to challenge existing
technologies, and communication skills to closely co-work other SUMITOMO Corporation group
companies globally and external partners.

The Business Development Manager will earn/enhance project management skills to consolidate diverse
teams structured from many different field such as engineering, data analytics, robotics, logistics etc. and
gain rare experience in creating new solutions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Create, develop and execute new Businesses strategy and Services in Production Engineering Area
2. Identify new business opportunities in Production Engineering Area
3. Establish positive professional relationships with business partners
4. Monitor sales progress to ensure that corporate goals are being met
5. Conduct technical evaluation of new business ideas

Job Specific Knowledge/Skills & Abilities <Required>

(a) 10+ years of working experience in or with automotive Production Engineering
(b) experience as the Project Manager
(c) experience introducing automation solution in the projection line
(d) experience implementing Data Analytics in the production line

<Preferred>

(a) to have a career as sales, engineer, business development and investment.
(b) working experience at Automotive OEM

Education, Certification and Experience <Required>

a) Bachelor degree holder can be considered with outstanding capabilities or records

<Preferred>

a) Master degree (MBA, MSci) or above.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent business travels expected in Americas, and occasionally to Japan depending on the experience and track record of the candidate.
